Richmond Cares, Richmond Gives is a hub for volunteering and giving, working to connect Richmond residents of all ages and backgrounds with meaningful opportunities to support their community. We're also a direct service provider, offering a range of impactful programs.
Volunteer Drivers with the Richmond Better at Home Transportation Service support local seniors to live independently in their homes and stay connected with their community. Drivers are matched with clients who require transportation assistance to and from medical appointments, community events, exercise classes, visits to family members, and other outings.
Even if you're short on time, this is a flexible role that can be built around your schedule. With every ride, you'll make a difference in your community and put a smile on a senior's face!
Volunteers are reimbursed for gas expenses incurred during rides.
