What is the position?

Social Prescribing Volunteers help seniors access resources that enhance their health, happiness and independence. As a Social Prescribing Volunteer, you will play an essential role in bridging the gap between seniors and these resources, working closely with a Community Connector to support social engagment. In addition to providing meaningful assistance to seniors, you will also help with administrative tasks to ensure the program runs smoothly.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Assist with admin tasks, including scanning and organizing forms
Support group activities by engaging in conversation
Help to foster a welcoming environment
Attend social programs in conjunction with the City of Richmond and help to coordinate transportation
Conduct check-in calls to seniors
