Karate BC is the only government-recognized, non-profit, provincial sport organization for karate in British Columbia. This year, we are hosting the 2026 Canada Open Karate Championships on November 21 & 22, at the Richmond Olympic Oval, where hundreds of athletes from across BC, Canada, and Internationally, will be competing.

We are seeking volunteers to help with photography, computer score-keeping & time-keeping, accreditation, athlete weigh-in, marshalling, admissions, security & crowd control, equipment set-up & take-down, and many other opportunities.  No prior experience required.

Lunch and a t-shirt will be provided to all volunteers who work a full day.

Check out the following links for details about the many volunteer opportunities for this event, and information on our organization.
