Chinese ink painting is all about creating beautiful landscapes, figures, and flowers using just water, ink, and paper. This fun and relaxing class is open to everyone—no experience needed! You'll enjoy exploring famous artworks, trying simple brush techniques, and experimenting with your own creative ideas. Along the way, you’ll pick up basic skills and discover the magic of ink and water, all while creating your own unique paintings.

中國水墨畫透過簡單的水、墨、紙,就能創作出優美的山水、人物和花鳥。本課程輕鬆有趣,適合任何人參加,無需任何經驗!學員將透過欣賞名畫、學習簡單的筆法,以及自由發揮創意,感受水墨變化的魅力。在輕鬆的氛圍中掌握基礎技巧,並完成屬於自己的獨特作品。

Teacher 教師  :Polly Kwong

Polly (Miu Yee Kwong) is an experienced art educator specializing in dementia care, particularly for Alzheimer's patients. With over 15 years of experience, she has explored the transformative power of art in cognitive health. After earning a master’s degree in art appreciation in the UK, she has been organizing art classes with Alzheimer’s patients with the Hong Kong Alzheimer’s Association and other non-profit making organizations in Hong Kong since 2010. In 2014, she organized The Magic of Art, one of Hong Kong’s largest exhibitions, showcasing 100 artworks by 60 Alzheimer’s students. Her students come from diverse backgrounds, including homemakers, accountants, executives, school principals, business leaders, and professors—among them Nobel laureate and "Father of Fibre Optics” Professor Charles Kao.

In 2023, Polly relocated to Vancouver to pursue a second master’s degree in leadership while continuing her research and volunteering with Minds in Motion, a program by the Alzheimer’s Society of BC. Her research examines how servant leadership enhances facilitators’ ability to deliver effective art interventions. Moving forward, she remains committed to advancing art interventions for dementia care through innovative methods and ideas.

Polly (鄺妙儀)老師是一位資深的藝術教育工作者,專注於阿茲海默症患者。在過去的 15 年,Polly致力於探索藝術如何改善認知障礙症患者的生活質素。獲得英國藝術鑑賞碩士學位後,Polly 於 2010 年開始在香港與不同的非牟利機構包括香港認知障礙症協會舉辦不同的藝術活動。2014 年,她策劃了 《藝術的魔法》展覽,是香港首次大規模展出 60 位阿茲海默症學員 100 幅藝術作品的展覽。她的學生來自不同背景,包括家庭主婦、會計師、行政人員、校長、商界領袖和教授,其中包括諾貝爾獎得主、「光纖之父」高錕教授。

2023 年Polly 移居溫哥華,攻讀第二個領導學碩士學位,同時繼續從事相關研究,並是卑詩省阿茲海默症協會的 Minds in Motion 義工。展望未來,她將探索創新的方法與理念持續推動藝術介入在認知障礙症的應用。
